An Ondo businessman and socialite, Sesan Adelabu, popularly called Emirate has reportedly committed suicide.
He was reported to have committed suicide after he allegedly killed his wife in Akure, the state capital.
According to report, the husband caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards.
The incident was reported to have occurred at Alagbaka GRA in Akure metropolis.
Although details of the incident remained sketchy, unconfirmed sources said the husband reportedly macheted his wife to death and, after that, committed suicide by drinking an insecticide.
While the socialite died inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide, his wife’s lifeless body was left on their marital bed.
Their corpses have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital.
The state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident when contacted.
Odunlami said that the socialite murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide by drinking sniper.
The police spokesperson added that police detectives have started their investigation into the matter.
