Alayegun’s demise: Babayemi condoles Ode Omu indigenes

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and a prince of Gbongan, Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi has described the passage of the Alayegun of Ode Omu,Oba Lamidi, Oke as a great loss not only to the people of Ode Omu, but the entire Ayedaade local government and Osun State at large.
Omooba Babayemi said he was deeply touched when he received the news of passage of the monarch, adding that the late monarch was an exemplary traditional ruler who served as a worthy custodian of the culture and tradition of his people.
According to him, the late Oba Oke, showed love to all those that live in his domain, irrespective of their tribe and religious inclination and was a righteous leader who had the interest of his people at heart above every other thing.
He emphasized that the deceased had contributed immensely to the socio economic development of his domain and will ever be remembered for all his good work.
While noting that the late Lamidi Oke’s reign was an epoch in the anal of the history of the town, as he combined cultural, spiritual and temporal spheres of life with the carriage of a unique royal charisma,
Babayemi prayed Almighty Allah to grant Oba Oke who was also the Giwa Adinni of Osun state, Aljannah firdaous and the entire muslim Ummah and members of his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
