The coordinator of Dee Osun Monitors, Prince Jide Akinyooye has commended Govenror Ademola Adeleke for stating boldly that he won’t be leaving the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.
Akinyooye in a statement on Saturday, commended Adeleke’s steadfastness, especially amid rumors of defection which has sparked political tension.
Akinyooye said, “the people of Osun State will NEVER look back to “Egypt” when deciding on the state’s governorship election. Our commitment to good governance and progress is rooted in individual consciousness and collective resolve.”

He added that, “as civil servants and civil societies, we’re documenting Osun’s history, demanding transparency, accountability, and effective leadership. We’ll hold leaders to high standards, prioritizing Osun citizens’ interests and shaping our state’s progress through collective efforts.”
Akinyooye therefore, urged Osun people to remain vigilant and understand the political dynamics behind the withheld local government allocation since February 2025.
“We trust that the real power belongs to the people, and their wishes will soon manifest.
“Osun State will forge its own path, built on good governance, equity, and justice. We’ll march forward, driven by our determination to create a brighter future for all, unswayed by external forces,” he stated.
