The political ambition of Prince Dotun Babayemi, the Osun West Senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in next year’s general election, has received the backing of major political groups and Individuals considered as power broker in the Senatorial District.
Across the 110 wards that make up Osun West Senatorial District, people irrespective of party affiliations, have tipped the senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic party (ADP) Omooba Dotun Babayemi for victory, and subsequently declared their resolve to support him in the  next February election.

They made the declaration during Omooba  Babayemi’s festive season visit to all the wards to celebrate Christmas and New Year with the people.

The journey to the 110 wards  started with Iwo, OlaOluwa and Ayedire local government  where the Gbongan prince, just like his  practice over the years during festive periods like Eid il Kabir,Eid il Fitri,Christmas and New year, presented people with food items and souvenirs .

The visit also created an avenue to consult with the generality of the populace which has been his usual practice from time to time.

Accompanied by party faithfuls, party leaders and other candidates for various political posts under the banner of ADP, Omooba  Babayemi at every ward visited, explained that the essence of democracy is for all to benefit.
He expressed his readiness to adequately represent the people of Osun West at the red chambers of the National Assembly if supported to win the next February election.

Appreciating the people for supporting Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, the ADP gubernatorial candidate in the last governorship election, Omooba Babayemi appealed to them to extend such support to him in the forthcoming election, assuring them of projects and programmes that will be beneficial to all.

Touched by his previous antecedents in the areas of provision of free health services, free summer coaching, scholarship for indigent students up to university level and provision of empowerment fund to women, members of the Social Democratic party (SDP) in Iwo signified intention to support Omooba Babayemi’s aspiration to the senate.

According to them, the Gbongan prince has shown his people that if voted to power he will not only share democracy dividends equally, but also make himself accessible to all.

At Ogbaagba in Ola Oluwa  local government area of Osun state,  members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, endorsed the candidature of Omooba Dotun Babayemi and pledged to support his move to the senate.
According to members of the African  Democratic Congress Omooba Babayemi  has demonstrated sterling leadership qualities even before contesting political position, hence their belief that if entrusted with power,he will not deprive them of democracy dividends.

Omooba Babayemi also met the people of Ejigbo,Egbedore, Ede North and Ede South local government to share the joy of the season with them. There he was widely accepted by the people who described him as a politician of repute who is concerned with the well being of his people.
They pledged their resolve to ensure his victory at the poll come next February .

At Ayedaade, Irewole and Isokan local government, the tumultuous crowd that welcomed Omooba Babayemi and his team maintained that the time is ripe to pay Omooba  Dotun Babayemi back on the numerous humanitarian services
which he has been carrying out for his people over the years without holding any political post and without  government intervention.

Speaking at all the 110 wards visited, Omooba Babayemi appealed to the people not to sell their future and that of their children for stipends in the forthcoming election.

Assuring them of maximum representation if voted, Babayemi also explained that his intention to liberate the people of Osun West  District from marginalisation and bring democracy dividends to their doorsteps led to his decision to contest the senatorial seat.
