More political groups have hooked up with the Senatorial candidacy of the Senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party ADP, for Osun West Senatorial District, Omooba Dotun Babayemi come February 16th election.
This came to fore at the final of the Second edition of Prince Dotun Babayemi Youth Football Competition among football teams in Osun West senatorial district held at St. Anthony School, Oke-Bode, Iwo, where Rovet FC of Iwo defeated Hon.Shakor FC of Ede by 3goals to nil.
While endorsing and adopting the candidacy of Omooba Babayemi, Deputy Chairman of the SDP in Osun State,Mr.Folaranmi Hamzat along with a mammoth crowd of party members
said members of the Social Democratic Party,SDP in Osun West Senatorial District decided to pitch their tent with Omooba Dotun Babayemi’s senatorial ambition because of their strong belief that he is the only candidate in the senatorial district capable of representing the people effectively.
While enjoining electorate in the West Senatorial District to support the Gbongan,Ayedaade Local Government born prince, Hamzat and other speakers at the programme commended the philanthropic action of Omooba Dotun Babayemi and advice others to emulate him.
They maintained that Omooba Babayemi stands tall as the best candidate contesting for an elective post in Osun State in 2019, simply because his antecedent in the public space is glaring and overwhelming.
According to them Omooba Babayemi has in the past, left indelible footprints on the sand of time in the areas of health, education, economy, religion, peace and unity among all the people of the district.
The event witnessed the presence of prominent personalities including the national leader of the Action Democratic Party, Alh.Moshood Adeoti,as well as many dignitaries and political leaders of Action Democratic Party, ADP in the senatorial district.
Other stalwarts of the Social Democratic Party, SDP present at the occasion were Osun West Senatorial Chairman, Engr Toye Ogungboyega, Osun West Senatorial women leader, SDP Local Government chairmen and State officers from Ayedaade, Ayedire, Iwo, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo among whom were SDP Senatorial Leader, Osun West Senatorial District,Hon Engr. Adetoye Ogungboyega, Ayedire SDP Chairman, Alhaji Hon Abideen Amusan.
Other are; EDE South SDP Chairman, Alhaji Nureni Durodola Afebioye, Ede North SDP Chairman,-Alhaji Hon Lawal Rasheed, Egbedore SDP Chairman, Olori MRS Isiaka Amina, Ejigbo SDP Chairman, Hon Oloyede Odunayo ,Financial Secretary, SDP Osun state, Pastor Tunde Hamzat, Ayedaade SDP chairman- Hon Ojo Kamorudeen Elegunmeje, Iwo SDP Chairman, Hon Alhaji Akande Akeem ,All women leaders from 8 local governments and all ward chairmen, all youth and women leaders across 90 wards from Osun West Senatorial District.
5 elders from the 8 local governments were also in attendance and ratified the adoption of Babayemi of the ADP by Osun West SDP
