The Governor state of Osun, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola yesterday urged the newly recruited army from the state not to see their uniform as a terrorising instrument rather as the symbol to protect the people and the nation at large.
He added that they should see it as a call to service and the beginning of a very long journey to them.
Oyetola also urged them to always display their loyalties to the nation first.
The governor who was represented by his Deputy Mr Benedict Alabi spoke while welcoming the 78 regular intake from Osun who passed out at the just concluded training in to the Nigeria Army in Zaria.
He said, “The state was highly interested in your recruitment and in your training while you were their for support that required and we are happy to welcome you back home.
The only thing you can give back to the state is to be our good ambassadors. Let them know you for disciplines, and hardworking.
That is the way you too can get to the top. Our prayer will always be with you, wherever you go, you must come back by the grace of God.” .
Speaking on behalf of the soldiers, Ajigbotosho Adeshewa commended the state government for the support received during the training, promising they would be good ambassadors of the state.
